WITHME
As Director of Product Design at WithMe Health, I was able to put my specialized healthcare knowledge and experience to work with a whole new team. As a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM), WithMe was well positioned to address some of the fundamental issues in the medication space. Our mission was to build a modern PBM, focused on lowering costs, aligning incentives, and engaging patients.

One of my first tasks upon joining WithMe was to lead the creation of our Member Mobile App. Our goal with the app was to empower our members to manage their medications, track usage, and find meaningful savings.
The app centered around an innovative chatbot UI, with intuitive automated guidance and a seamless hand-off to our Pharmacist Team. The final product was a powerful tool for our members and a key differentiator for the company.

Good Guidance
In addition to the mobile app, I also led the design for our internal customer support platform, the Medication Guide Portal. At WithMe, hands on guidance was an essential part of improving the medication experience.
Our sophisticated task management and fully integrated, cross platform chat interface helped ensure our support team was prepared for anything and everything.
Many times, when working on internal tools such as this one, I’ve encountered the mindset that functionality is all that matters. Just put the buttons on the page, and “they’ll figure it out.”
I disagree. I believe that any product can and should be easy to use, even those that are only “behind the scenes.” That’s because every product has a user, and every user deserves a tool that helps them get their job done.
I strive in all my designs to create an interface that’s clean and intuitive, with enough information to act, but not so much as to overwhelm. It’s a tough balance to find in data dense industries like healthcare, but the improved efficiency and joy of use are well worth the effort.
At WithMe, I was able to take what I had learned working in healthcare and quickly build and expand into new, more robust applications.
I also gained valuable management experience, as well as my first taste of working remotely.
